2025 Year End Review

This is my 2025 year end review. I’ll review the most important things I learned small business-wise, my best/most useful sewing tips/skills and my favorite projects of 2025. I’ll also give you a heads up on my plans for the new year.

Small Business

I’ve continued to enjoy creating content for my blog and Patreon page. Unfortunately family matters have forced me to take more time away from my small business than usual. The most important thing I learned in 2025 is the importance of family and friends. Love them or hate them, family is your blood. My very best friends have proven once again that “Friends are the family we choose for ourselves.” (Edna Buchanan, Sep 4, 2024)

Sewing Skills/Tips/Tutorials

I wrote some more posts aimed at beginning sewers in 2025. Hopefully, you found my posts about where to get fabrics, presser feet and diy waxed fabric informative.

Due to time constraints, I didn’t write any tutorials in 2025. Is there a tutorial topic you’d like me to write about? I can move it to the top of my to do list.

Book Reviews

I reviewed five books during 2025. I’ve learned a lot about sewing clothes and hand sewing.

Favorite Projects

I didn’t review as many projects this year as in previous years. I really enjoyed sewing wallets in January 2025. I’d love to make some more of one or both of these projects to sell in my Etsy shop.

Planning Ahead

Several projects and/or topics I had planned to blog about have been rescheduled to 2026. Ongoing family commitments may require me to decrease my blog and Patreon posting frequency.

Best wishes for a happy and healthy 2026!
