New Year New City New Website

2016 was a year of changes at Sewn by Tanya. My previous work space was too small and there were too many distractions. Previous attempts to find an alternate work space were not successful so I took some time off in September to visit Saskatoon. I was pleasantly surprised to find a suitable place within a week. Of course, that was just the first step. Moving one’s home and business is lot of work. Thankfully family members were willing assist with the big move. It took longer than expected for everything to finally get squared away and I’m happy with my new work space.

Prior to the move, I'[d taken some time to evaluate my small business strengths and weaknesses. I decided that one way to better align my marketing strategy to my strengths was to change the focus of my website. There’s less detail about my “for sale” items and more emphasis on my Etsy Store. The new website also includes a blog where I can talk about all the different projects I’ve been sewing. I’ll review some patterns and maybe even share small business tips.

Wishing you all a happy, healthy and prosperous New year! Happy 2018!!
